Aptana Studio Plugins

If you are interested in plugging Aptana Studio into Eclipse, you can find instructions for doing so on the downloads page.

Supported Plugins

These plugins are supported as part of Aptana Studio.

Unsupported Plugins

Here are free, unsupported plugins for Aptana users. Some of these may be older versions, newer experiments or deprecated code.

SFTP support (unsupported). This version of SFTP is the old version of SFTP as included with the beta version of Aptana Studio. Aptana Studio 1.0+/Eclipse 3.2 with Aptana Studio 1.0+ Plugin Users:
  1. Go to the Update Manager in Aptana Studio via Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...
  2. Add a new Remote Update site to the following url: http://update.aptana.com/install/sftp_deprecated/3.2/
  3. Install the unsupported SFTP feature from that update site
Eclipse 3.3 with Aptana Studio 1.0+ Plugin Users:
  1. Go to the Update Manager in Aptana Studio via Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...
  2. Add a new Remote Update site to the following url: http://update.aptana.com/install/sftp_deprecated/3.3/
  3. Install the unsupported SFTP feature from that update site
I18N Support. Here are the language packs for the core Eclipse plugins used in Aptana Studio.
  1. Go to the Update Manager in Aptana Studio via Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...
  2. Add a new Remote Update site to the following url: http://update.aptana.com/install/i18n/3.2/
  3. Install the I18N feature from that update site
vi Support. This adds a "HTML Editor (vi)" option for file associations. This version is compatible with the vi plugin from http://satokar.com/viplugin/.
  1. Go to the Update Manager in Aptana Studio via Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...
  2. Add a new Remote Update site to the following url: http://update.aptana.com/install/vi/3.2/
  3. Install the vi feature from that update site
To use the viPlugin compatible editors go to Window -> Preferences... -> General -> Editors -> File Associations and select the Aptana (vi) editor for each file association you are using for CSS or HTML editing
CVS Support. This adds the Eclipse CVS plugins not bundled with Aptana Studio standalone.
  1. Go to the Update Manager in Aptana Studio via Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...
  2. Add a new Remote Update site to the following url: http://update.aptana.com/install/cvs/
  3. Install the Eclipse CVS feature from that update site
