Introduction

Aptana is all about open source, and so we love user contributions. Once you submit a patch, we will evaluate it and place it in one of the upcoming releases depending on the current release schedule.

Instructions

To submit a patch:

1. Find the relevant bug or feature you are adressing in trac. If you can't find the issue, create a new ticket for it.
2. Zip up the latest version of the files that you have patched. If possible, please sync against the latest version of the repository before submitting changes so the merge differences are small.
3. Attach the patched files to the trac ticket
4. Post a message to the "Aptana Developers" forum: http://www.aptana.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=14

That's it. Regular posters will recieve registered Perforce accounts and with enough submissions, committer status on the source code tree.
