Help System Basic Acceptance Tests

General

  1. Open up the Aptana Help System (Help Menu > Help Contents)
    1. There should re "Getting Started" and "Reference Section"
    2. The TOC should match that of the wiki for "Getting Started"
    3. Open up the IDE Log (Help Menu > Aptana Troubleshooting > Show Aptana Log File)
    4. There should be no log entries of the form "malformed xml in TOC, etc..."

F1 Help

  1. Select an element in the editor. Press F1. Is should bring up help on that item

F2 Help

  1. Hover over an item in the editor until it brings up a code assist dialog. Press F2, it should persist the little dialog

(?) Help button

  1. Press the '?' icon in each of the views and make sure the it brings up the correct corresponding help section.
